PUPPANOME GUIDES
GUIDE 1: Getting Started With Puppanome
Your dog won’t change from one session.
They change through consistent experience over time.
Welcome to Puppanome.
Your dog is now beginning a structured journey designed to develop calm behaviour, real-world reliability, and balanced social interaction.
This is not casual dog walking.
Each session is intentional and built around your dog’s development.
📅 Your Dog’s Start
Your dog’s Foundation sessions will begin on the date and time confirmed in your slot assignment email.
If you need this resent to you, please contact us.
🚪 Collection & Return
We operate a collection and return service:
• A 30 minute window is applied before the session for collection
• A 30 minute window is applied after the session for drop off
You may choose to:
• be present
• or provide access for collection
Access arrangements will be confirmed directly.
🎒 What Your Dog Needs
Please ensure your dog has:
• a secure collar (required)
• ID tag or microchip
• access to water before walks
We may use additional training equipment where appropriate to support your dog’s development.
What to Expect
Over the coming weeks, (dog) will walk with us and learn the Calm Pack Flow (this is our structured walk routine).
As your dog’s skills improve they will begin to:
• settle more quickly on walks
• become more aware of their surroundings
• respond more consistently to guidance
• respond calmly to real situations (e.g people and distractions)
• build confidence around other dogs and environments.
🧠 The Foundation Phase
Your dog will begin with structured one-to-one sessions.
This phase focuses on:
• calm walking behaviour
• becoming familiar with the routine
• understanding expectations
• engagement and responsiveness
• emotional control
• real-world exposure
It is normal for dogs to:
• take time to settle
• test boundaries
• show small fluctuations in behaviour
Consistency is what creates lasting change.
🐾 Progression
Your dog will move through:
Foundation Walks → Calm Pack Walks → Advanced Experiences
We handle the structure. Your dog learns through it.
Progress is based on behaviour, not time.
📈 Updates
You will receive regular updates on your dog’s development, including:
• progress reports
• videos
• key observations
💬 Communication
If you have any questions or updates about your dog, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

GUIDE 2: How Puppanome Walks Work
Puppanome walks are structured, behaviour-led sessions designed to guide dogs into calm, balanced movement in real-world environments.
💡 The Core Idea
Dogs learn best through:
• repeated real-world experience
• consistent environments
• calm, structured guidance
🐾 Why Structure Matters
Unstructured walks often lead to:
• over-excitement
• pulling
• inconsistent behaviour
Structured walks create:
• calm movement
• awareness
• balance
• reliable behaviour in real environments
🧭 What is Structured Movement?
Dogs are not simply walked.
They are guided through:
• consistent positioning
• controlled pace
• clear direction
This creates calmness, focus, and awareness.
🧠 Continuous Guidance
During each session, dogs receive:
• clear communication
• consistent boundaries
• real-time corrections where needed
This helps them understand what is expected and build reliable behaviour over time.
🌍 Real-World Exposure
Dogs are gradually exposed to:
• different environments
• people
• other dogs
• everyday distractions
• repeating calm behaviour
• being guided in the moment
All exposure is controlled and intentional.
🐕 The Power of the Pack
Dogs walking together consistently:
• builds familiarity
• reduces tension
• allows socialisation
• reduces reactivity to other dogs by normalising proximity
• allows them learn from each other
Once your dog is ready, they will be introduced into a structured pack.
This is based on:
• behaviour
• emotional stability
• responsiveness
Pack walking is not automatic and is only introduced when appropriate.
⚖️ Calm Pack System
The goal is to develop and maintain:
• calm energy
• balanced behaviour
• reliable responses
This helps your dog behave appropriately in real environments while enriching their life through pack socialisation and extended experiences.
We achieve this by using the Calm Pack Flow (our structured walk routine), while giving your dog more challenges as they progress.
Calm Pack Flow includes:
1. ARRIVAL & WARM-UP
Focus: Attention & Connection
Dogs transition from home energy into a calm, working mindset.
Skills include:
• responding to their name
• focus on the handler
• calm greetings and manners
• basic positions and short stays
• Stops and starts
2. STRUCTURED WALKING
Focus: Movement & Communication
Dogs walk together while responding to guidance.
Skills include:
• loose-lead walking
• direction changes
• lead drops
• recall practice
• ignoring distractions
• calm movement
• sitting before crossing roads
3. OFF-LEAD PROGRESSION
Focus: Freedom Through Trust
Dogs gradually earn more freedom as reliability improves.
Skills include
• recall
• checking in
• staying within range
• responding at distance
• calm walking
• Stops and starts
• direction changes
• ignoring distractions
4. PATIENCE TRAINING
Focus: Emotional Self-Control
Dogs practise calm behaviour in stimulating environments.
Skills include:
• Longer sits/stays
• waiting turns
• ignoring distractions
5. CONTROLLED PLAY
Focus: Balanced Energy Release
Short, structured play sessions allow dogs to release energy while maintaining control.
Activities include:
• chase games
• sniffing games
• light play
6. CALM COOLDOWN
Focus: Return to Balance
The walk ends with slow, relaxed movement, short stops and sniffing.
Dogs return home:
• calm
• settled
• mentally fulfilled
📌 Important
Dogs are always guided based on what they need in the moment.
This means:
• some sessions may focus more on control
• others may focus more on exposure or social work
Every session is part of a larger progression.
The Result
Over time, your dog will become:
• calmer
• more responsive
• socially balanced
This isn’t just walking.
It’s a structured lifestyle that shapes how your dog experiences the world

GUIDE 3: Owner Responsibilities Guide
To ensure the best results for your dog, consistency outside of sessions is important.
🧠 Consistency at Home
While Puppanome provides structured sessions, your dog’s behaviour is also shaped by their day-to-day environment.
Between walks we recommend:
• maintaining clear boundaries
• avoiding reinforcing unwanted behaviours
• being consistent with commands and expectations
• keep everyday walks calm and relaxed
• avoid overly excited greetings before walks
• give them access to water before each walk
• reinforce simple cues like sit and recall
• allow time for rest after sessions
• connect with them daily
These small actions make a big difference.
🐕 Equipment
Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog has:
• a secure, well-fitted collar
• identification (tag or microchip)
We may introduce additional equipment where needed during sessions.
🩺 Health & Safety
Owners must:
• inform us of any health changes
• ensure dogs are fit for exercise
• keep vaccinations or equivalent protection up to date
Dogs should not attend sessions if unwell.
🚪 Access & Collection
Where access is provided:
• entry details must be accurate
• any changes must be communicated in advance
This ensures smooth and safe collection.
📅 Scheduling
Dogs attend scheduled sessions as part of a structured system.
Regular attendance supports:
• consistency
• progression
• pack stability
⚖️ Behavioural Commitment
Puppanome provides structured guidance during walks.
For best results:
• home routines should support calm behaviour
• training and boundaries should be maintained outside sessions
💬 Communication
